Campground Halloween

As many as 40 children are living in the campground set up in a parking lot for city vehicles on the eastern edge of downtown, where rows of tents mean some form of stability in their lives for the time being. With a secure home, three meals a day and a shuttle taking them to and from school each day, there's the opportunity to actually celebrate the small things, like Halloween.

A representative from the San Diego City Attorney's office brought costumes for the children, to go with the ones Alpha Project had already secured, so they could dress up before having their own carnival celebration just up the hill at a park recreation center.
